Update: architecture and environmental psychology

I was fortunate enough to be able to write an illustrated essay during my M.Arch 1 year on the topic of environmental psychology. Initially I had intended the essay to focus on a selection of 'standard' new build homes from the large national housing developers and assess to what extent they produce spaces that are conducive to happiness and wellbeing from the perspective of environmental psychology. Could these standard houses be improved through the application of environmental psychology, and if so what would be the most cost-effective improvement for developers to focus on?
Sadly this abstract was perhaps too far-reaching and broad in topic, so tutors suggested I analyse two buildings through the lens of environmental psychology instead. While not entirely being the topic I wanted to cover, this still allowed me to explore the field of environmental psychology and how it can apply to architecture, and it still proved an interesting study.
